About Wish-A-Mile® Bicycle Tour

The Wish-A-Mile Bicycle Tour started in 1987 when four friends challenged each other to ride 300 miles from Canton to Mackinac. Since then, the event has grown into the largest fundraising event for Make-A-Wish Michigan and one of the most prestigious cycling events in the Midwest. You can be a difference maker for wish kids in your community by joining us for the 37th annual Wish-A-Mile Bicycle Tour on July 26-28, 2024.

About Make-A-Wish® Michigan

Make-A-Wish Michigan began in 1984 when Joshua, an 11-year-old from Tecumseh, wished to go to Walt Disney World® Resort. Fourteen other courageous children experienced the joy of a wish in that first year. Today, Make-A-Wish Michigan grants wishes to hundreds of Michigan children annually, granting more than 11,500 wishes in its history. In 2023, Make-A-Wish Michigan granted 475 transformational wishes to courageous Michigan children. Our goal in 2024 is to grant 500 wishes, the most wishes we have ever granted in a single year.

The mission of Make-A-Wish Michigan is elegantly simple: We create life-changing wishes for Michigan kids with critical illnesses. Our vision is to grant a wish for every eligible child in Michigan.
