Wish-A-Mile Bicycle Tour: COVID-19 Updates

Announcing Virtual WAM Tour 2020

Due to health considerations surrounding COVID-19, WAM 2020 has shifted to a virtual event. View the announcement video below.

While we are unable to be together for an in-person event, we know that our WAM family remains strong and is committed to riding to grant wishes for children in our community. We are so grateful to our dedicated WAM riders, and we looking forward to sharing in this journey with you and providing creative ways to engage our WAM community throughout the spring and summer. More than 800 Michigan children are waiting for their wishes, and they need hope now more than ever before. Thank you for all that you do to make wishes possible. WAM riders, we are thinking of you during this challenging time. Read a message from Make-A-Wish Michigan President & CEO Karen Davis.

Make-A-Wish® Michigan is so grateful to our riders, volunteers and community supporters who make the Wish-A-Mile® Bicycle Tour possible. As we navigate the rapidly changing circumstances around COVID-19, we want you to be aware that we are diligently monitoring guidance from state and national public health, and government organizations. The health and safety of our Make-A-Wish family, including our wish families, supporters, volunteers, WAM riders and employees, is our priority. WAM is still scheduled to take place July 23–26, 2020. We will continue to provide updates in the coming weeks, keeping the best interests of everyone at the center of all decisions we make. With more than 800 Michigan children waiting for a wish, fundraising through events like WAM is vital to helping make these wishes come true. Thank you for your continued support of WAM and for the difference you are making in the lives of our wish kids and families.
